“Contemplations on the Nature of Reality” is an offering. It expresses, in form, some themes I have been meditating upon for a while. The viewer must have her or his own dialogue with this work. But, as I live with these paintings, I am finding that the minimal word-messages stenciled on them are functioning as visual reminders of their deeper meaning.
As in my writing, a recurring theme in these paintings is WE, a consideration about approaching everyday life from a whole-istic perspective I have termed “Community Consciousness”, where we are more concerned with the good of all and less about our own interests primarily.
Some of the NOW paintings with vertical orientation convey the urgency of this moment in history, and a call to action–if Mother Earth and all that dwell upon her shall survive.
Each of us is an integral part of the whole Universe, and not a separate isolated unit, as the mind would have us believe. Quantum science and perennial philosophy share the insight that WE is ALL ONE–an interconnected consciousness endlessly expanding, moving in the direction of coherence, balance and harmony.
This peaceful truth can be fully experienced by being fully present here, NOW. Calm, peaceful, with a clear view of the nature of our reality, actions automatically become more compassionate, loving, healing.
An open heart can fully resonate with its source, the ONE LOVE; the infinite field of energy, creating each of us, and also being created by us, eternally.

It is a scientific fact: The cells of our bodies respond to whatever messages we send to them. Send messages of love and healing to ourselves, and our cells respond in kind.

Inspiring ourselves is as easy as repeatedly connecting with one positively infused word. (isn’t this how mantra functions?) When regularly connect with a WORD POWER PAINTING, the Intelligence working through the brain naturally takes care of the rest of the process. The message, internalized, becomes medicine.

Series II: ALL IS WELL
Layers of paint and plaster on canvas convey layers of memory and experience, behind us now. “JOY AND SORROW”, “HOPES DREAMS TEARS”, “HOPES AND FEARS” are titles of some of the pieces in this series. Both stencil and free handwriting are used to personalize effect and deliver the message that all which once seemed a challenge in our lives has passed–a comment on the impermanence of our earthly situation
Most people I speak with agree that there is rarely a time they look back at without thinking: “That seemed really tough at the time, but if that hadn’t happened I couldn’t be in the place I am today”.
No matter what seems to be happening, truly ALL IS WELL. Remembering this imparts strength, courage, faith, trust.
LONGEVITY SERIES
The Chinese symbol for LONGEVITY, the message “All Is Well” integrate with, and as, Tigle — concentrated points of awareness [which are formless] are sometimes seen as sparks or depicted as circles in Tibetan thanka paintings. Venetian plaster, paint splatters, and applied mini canvases represent the potential of dimensional manifestation of form inherent in the vast expanse of space. Tigle are represented by the Chinese symbol for Longevity.
